Tony Robbins – He can change your world in minutes
Tony Robbins is not a guru – he’s just a regular human being like you and me – yet he seems sooo guru like! Why is that? Is it perhaps because he takes a fresh outlook on your fears and problems and flips them on their head?
Well I don’t know – but I do enjoy that he shares his insights with the world and he helps a lot of people in the process. And the insights he shares are good ones – he speaks with some pretty impressive people.
Billionaire business leaders seek his advice; casino magnate Steve Wynn and Salesforce.com founder Marc Benioff are among those who call on him for coaching.
Tony Robbins describes himself as an entrepreneur, best-selling author, philanthropist, and the nations number one life and business strategist. (Clearly a confident man)
He has empowered more than 50 million people from 100 countries through his audio, video and life training programs.
He created the #1 personal and professional development program of all time, and more than 4 million people have attended his live seminars – Not too shabby!
He came to my attention when I saw him on Netflix a year or so ago.
His show is called Tony Robbins: I am not your Guru
I have to say, watching the trailer again, it seems a little cheesy – but I didnt see the trailer before I watched it. I just clicked on it and starting watching and got completely drawn in. During his seminar, Date with Destiny, there are some people that open up to the audience and share some truly soul destroying stories. Some worse than others, but the pain is there and Tony Robbins seems to have a knack of reducing their fears and problems to something they can easily face and walk away from (I’m simplifying here!)
It does make you realise how held back you can be by fear. The self-doubt, the fear, the niggling suspicion that people think you’re a complete and utter arsehole – whatever issues we have – they can be hard to face. When I watched the show it made me realise how completely superficial and insignificant my problems really are. (They are still there though!)
The thing about problems is that we will always have them, even when a problem is fixed it gets replaced by another problem. Problems help us grow and sometimes we have to take on the F**k it approach and realise that they are are there to help us grow as people.
Tony Robbins can change your life in minutes but he is very quick to remind you that your mind is a muscle. Just like exercise or a diet, if you stop doing it, it no longer works the way you want it to.
Watch it, see what you think, I always say you have to give a show at least 20-30 minutes before you decide you do or dont like it.
His latest push is on sharing his new book – Unshakeable: Your Guide to Financial Freedom
After interviewing fifty of the world’s greatest financial minds he wrote his findings; a step-by-step playbook for you to transform your financial life and accelerate your path to financial freedom (his words, not mine!) Hugh Jackman said it well..
“No matter who you are, no matter how successful, no matter how happy, Tony has something to offer you”
Kind regards, Livvy
