Trouble Sleeping? I think I have found the cure!
If you have trouble sleeping then please, please try these 2 super simple solutions.
Drink a cup of Pukka Night Time Tea before bedtime.
You will sleep like a baby! Why?
I think it’s because it is made with Valerian Root. This is commonly used for sleep disorders, especially with people with insomnia.
It combines a sleepy crush of oat flower, soothing lavender, and silky-sweet lime-flower together with the magic of valerian.
It tastes yummy but be careful…if you drink it during the evening (which I have) you will fall asleep on the sofa and miss the end of your film (which I did!)
Note: Leave the tea bag in the tea and let it sit for a while (5-10 bminutes) Don’t stir the tea – the best bit rises to the top.
This blended tea was created by Sebastian Smith, co-founder (and Master Herbsmith) of Pukka Herbs. He practices an eclectic blend of Ayurvedic, Chinese and Western Herbal Medicine and he’s a registered member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association, Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and the Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners.
He knows his herbs!
It HAS to be worth a try – it’s only £2.50 a pack!
The other alternative I have heard of (not tried yet) is the blend of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey. I first heard this from Tim Ferriss – I love this guy – he does his research and has written some fantastic books.
What you’ll need:
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 tbsp organic apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp organic honey
How to make it:
Add the cider vinegar and the honey to the hot water. Stir well and drink before bed.
You can also try adding it to your night time tea.
According to Tim, the elimination of lactic acid from the body is the most likely cause of the tranquillising effect. Exercise (or just daily exertion) and extreme stress cause lactic acid to build up in the body. The amino acids contained in apple cider vinegar act as a antidote relaxing the body and in turn the mind – Who knew?!
Best of luck sleeping.
Kindest Regards, Livvy
