Slogan sweatshirts are everywhere! Take a look at my fav slogan sweatshirts and hoodies for spring summer 2018.
I am hoping and praying that the trend I’m seeing – that of the “chic slogan sweatshirt” – is here to stay. I’m a massive fan and have been since I was a teenager. I think it started with wearing reversible Mickey Mouse slogan sweatshirts back in 1980 something, swiftly followed by my GAP sweatshirts back in the early 90’s.
Sweatshirts are hugely comfortable and can hide a multitude of sins – whats not to love? You just have to make sure you remember to put on your bra before you leave the house (Yes, I have forgotten before! 😒 )
How much to spend on your sweatshirt or hoodie.
I think the key is to splash out a little, otherwise, after a couple of outings in your slogan sweatshirt (or hoodie) you’re going to feel more like a bum than a casual chic mum. It has to feel special or it’s going to end up in your “at home loungewear” collection. My sweatshirt wishlist below ranges from £30 to £430 – it’s up to you. At the moment you can choose between a more cropped snug fit or a rather large oversized fit. Either way, you cant go wrong if you pair your sweatshirt with a pair of jeans.
Sweatshirt Wish List
We are taking it up a few notches from my Owen and Owen reversible Mickey sweatshirt and my men’s 90’s GAP sweatshirts and going for the elegant “I look effortlessly casual” style. Have a peak of my slogan sweatshirt and hoodie wishlist below.
Hoodie Wish List
Hoodies can be pretty versatile, they are a staple in most peoples wardrobe but they can become dated, especially if like me, you have the same one from 5 years ago ☺ . Get up to speed and get yourself a fancy new hoodie for spring/summer 2018 – one that’s a little more stylish than the Hollister one you’ve probably got. 😉
Let me know if you’ve got any favourites – I went for the Tommy Hilfiger “H” sweater in a Medium from House of Fraser and it’s VERY swanky. I am going to very particular about when I wear it – I don’t want it looking haggard before the sun comes out!
Kind regards, Livvy
